New Jazz Songbook

Jazz Septet, led by John Wiliams and featuring singer, Sarah Moule, which brings together two very different genres – jazz and English song.  A 21st century response to the flowering of English song which took place in the early part of the last century.

Five eminent jazz composers - Barbara Thompson, Simon Wallace, John Mayer, Dick Walter and Nikki Iles – have written contemporary jazz settings of poems by Blake, Hardy, Richard Jones and Rossetti.
